Pelvic Floor PT

WELCOME TO PELVICARE PHYSICAL THERAPY

At PelviCare we welcome people of all genders and identities. Everyone deserves a safe, supportive space to address their pelvic floor concerns.

Our approach is trauma informed, with attention to our patients’ both physical and emotional well-being.

Because the pelvic floor does not work alone, we always look at the whole musculoskeletal system. This ensures that your treatment is not only targeted, but also comprehensive and effective.

Each visit is private, ONE HOUR long, and always one-on-one with a pelvic health specialist with advanced training, specializing in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy. No aides ever.

WHAT WE TREAT

Hands-on pelvic pain physical therapy session with female patient in Boulder.

At PelviCare we specialize in caring for people with pelvic pain, bladder and bowel concerns, pregnancy and postpartum changes, and recovery before and after surgery. Our team also supports those experiencing genito-urinary and musculoskeletal symptoms during peri- and menopause, as well as men’s pelvic health.

In addition, we provide pre- and post-rehabilitation for individuals undergoing gender-affirming surgery.

HOW WE TREAT

Therapeutic Exercise

We create a unique, individualized exercise program for each patient with focus on strengthening, posture, stability, and range of motion.

Neuromuscular Re-education

Pain and discomfort often continue beyond the initial injury because of learned muscular habits. We will help facilitate healing by re-educating your muscles to work harmoniously.

Instrument Assisted Therapy

We incorporate cupping therapy, dry needling, and taping techniques as an adjunct treatment option.

Manual Therapy

Treatments may include a combination of manual therapy, trigger point release, soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release (both internal and external), visceral manipulation, scar mobilization, and abdominal massage.

At PelviCare PT, we take an individualized approach, looking at the whole body and considering bio-psycho-social elements when creating each patient’s Plan of Care.
