Postpartum Physical Therapy
Caring for little ones can be challenging and it takes a while to recover after childbirth. Our goal is to support you in returning to your pre-pregnancy routine and feeling empowered. Our focus will be on your entire body, including your pelvic floor, diastasis recti, muscle strength and flexibility. We will teach you how to strengthen your pelvic floor to prevent future incontinence and prolapse. We will also address any scar from perineal or Cesarean births.
Our Birth Wellness package offers two sessions post-delivery. In the first session, we will assess your body and develop a customized program to help you resume your pre-pregnancy exercise routine. The follow up sessions will review and advance the exercises, in addition to manual therapy, dry needling and implementation of other modalities, where necessary.
